Phonesack Group is a solely Lao-owned company headquartered in Vientiane Capital, with operations across Lao PDR. Since beginning with wood processing in 1990 and construction in 1996, the Group has expanded into mining, hydropower, coal, and power development.
Major developments include the Khamkeut Saen-Oudom Gold Mine, the 650 MW Nam Theun 1 Hydropower Project, Coal and Power development projects in Xekong and Salavan Provinces.

The Xekong Thermal Power Plant Project is a 6 × 300 MW coal-fired power project located in Xekong Province, Lao PDR. Electricity generated by the Project will be transmitted through a 253 km, 500 kV double-circuit transmission line from the power plant to the Lao-Cambodia border in Champasak Province for export to EDC, Cambodia.
